His passion for music all started with learning how to mix and produce beats in FL Studio. Back in 2018 he began making beats for rapper and long time friend, HEAVEN. Deep down the idea of being rapper always intrigued 2Tone. After a couple name changes and a vision in mind, he released his debut single, NO BETTA, reinventing himself as a producer and an artist. He followed up later in 2023 with his first EP, MATADOR. His unique sound consists of dark melodic textures that will get your head bopping. His confidence and swag can be felt through his lyrics and also through the instrumentals he crafts himself, embodying other producer artists like Kanye West, Pierre Bourne, Cash Cobain and more. Other inspirations of 2Tone’s include the likes of Lil Uzi, Lil Keed, and Young Thug for their infectious flows and cadences.

Being a Scorpio explains the motivation and drive J2Tonedd has for music and doing it completely by his rules. Music had such an impact on him growing up as a kid no matter if it was a song from a video game soundtrack or exciting underground artists from early SoundCloud days. Despite his influences, He aims to bring a fresh new take to the landscape of rap by not only telling his own life story but by immersing his audience in a psychedelic and futuristic soundscape. These days, J2Tonedd is currently working not only more solo material, a collaborative EP with rapper and friend HEAVEN releasing later this summer, and a producer compilation project as well. With a busy schedule all of 2024, 2Tone is sure to make his voice and music production heard by many.
